Flacco won a SB, Ravens couldn't say no to him.

This is just the league now, the salary cap keeps increasing, so the premier position salaries will increase, even for middle of the road players

In terms of impact positions the guys who will be setting the market the highest are QB's and edge rushers. The league has put a value on those two at an all time high.

There are also a select few of other guys at other positions who are elite( Beckham, Donald). But other than that the good teams won't overpay for other positions.

Show me where I said he was. :ld:
That being said, our defense kept us in more games, and arguably won us more games than our offense. And our offense was sparked more by Marshall/Decker/Ivory than Fitz. I have no ill will towards dude, but he definitely shouldn't get upwards of what they're offering him. Especially after he showed his true colors in that final game.

:wtf:

Shut up, Phin-fool. :damn:

How you gonna say there wasn't a passing threat?

Jets were ranked 13th in passing yards per game and your qb threw just as many TD's as Aaron Rodgers, putting him in the top 10 of TD passes.

It's funny cause i remember when people would go hard defending Sanchez, now they go hard discrediting Fitzpatrick.

Jets fans don't know fukk-all about QB play

Fitzpatrick we know will at least be average. You're paying for that and plus compensating for the drop off in the next available guy. Fitz is the only average guy left.

I kinda think Fitz deserves double.

Not because he's worth it. But the market is paying Osweiler and "You Like That!" a lot of money, so...

:yeshrug:

The market has spoken though. If there was an $18m a year contract for Fitz.. hell, even a $12m a year contract for him, he would have signed it already.

No team wants Fitz as their starting QB. He'll take 3/21 or he'll be the backup somewhere else or retired.

The Jets played 1 top 10 defense all last year in terms of DVOA. Care to look up how Fitz did in that game? :sas2:

BTW, the Jets play 6 teams that rated top 10 defense next year. :sas1:

Blame Flacco, he started that shyt :manny:

nah dumb ass teams offering mediocre QBs those big contracts cause the NFL has made the passing game fool's gold started it and continue it. yet majority of those teams don't win shyt cause the team falls apart due to the contract. GMs are too dumb and caught up to see it tho

Bro, are you looking at numbered, or did you watch the games? That's all I'm going to ask. I'm not against Fitz coming back, but at the price he wants that's fukking ridiculous. He's mediocre. Mediocre and old. I'd rather be bad or ascendant with Geno or Bryce than middle of the road with Fitz for however many years he wants for however millions.

Basically. There's a reason no other team has given him what he wants. We'd be fools to cave now. Come the fukk on. Fitz has shown who he is. Mediocre.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Fitzpatrick is basically telling the Jets they're nothing without him :mjlol:.

And he's also saying Bryce Petty and Geno are :trash: to their face.

You're a journeyman stop gap QB. Asswater and Sam Hurford are going to be the QB's their for at least 3 more years. AND they're younger than Fitzpatrick.

Buffalo paid him a boatload of money and he blew it. Texans gave him a shot and he blew it again. He's not playing from a position of strength other than New York fans being so damn fickle and the fact that the Jets overpaid for players like Revis and Marshall.

His one position of strength is he's the last one left on the market and he's clearly better than Petty, Sanchez or whoever the Rams plan on starting.

And a mediocre QB gets over 10m a year.

Jets are going super-low and you know that.

And start Geno and you`ll have zero reason to watch your team, Fitz at least gave you guys a fighting chance.

I`m with you that he doesn't deserve over 14m or a long deal, but let Fitzpatrick go and there goes ALL the continuity to your offense. Best RB and your record setting QB gone, and replaced with old ass Forte and who?
