Of course Fitz is overrated by general media and fans. You are overrating him by saying he is our best option. A 30+ year old backup is not our best option; our 3rd year 2nd rounder Geno Smith is. Fitz was and remains a waste of time and money, precisely as stated.

You keep talking about Geno Smith as if anyone takes him seriously. He won't be starting. There's literally a zero percent chance. I will bet you whatever you'd like.

Geno was going to start last year if not for getting punched so I don't see why his chances shouldn't be taken seriously this year. Mac himself said if Fitz doesn't sign Geno is likely the starter. So we'll see, since afterall Fitz is not our best option

As for a bet, I'm already betting with someone on this topic but I'll bet you 20% payable that Geno starts at least 6 games next year.

He's average. Which is the Jets best option currently. If they had anything better they'd let him go.
No...you said he was the one that takes the Jets over the top from being a bad team. Above average qbs do that....which is what you called him.

Don't fall back now . Your inconsistentColi flim flamming touches all bases

Fitz being average compensates for having to play a guy who can't play or isn't ready to play. A QB who doesn't know what he's doing kills a team. Fitzpatrick provides stability and actually knows how to run an NFL offense- doesn't take sacks and generally delivers the ball on time. Something the Jets haven't had since Pwnnington.

He's below average my dude.

We played shyt teams and have gassed fans like you overrating his play. He's wasting our time at qb. It's obvious that the Jets aren't sold on him

Not gassing him really. I know he's not going to be here longterm. It's obvious they're not sold on him but I think they are sold on him playing until they can find someone better. Maybe they draft a QB at 20 and start that this year.

Yes, gassing him.

He's a stop gap qb I've long called him and the Jets obviously see him that way, something he doesn't see in himself.

Our offense had the potential to do more last season and you can tell the frustration in Gailey's play calling in having to window dress around him.

I think he's a stopgap too. But The offense was productive with him last year, more productive than any Jets offense since what 1998? I don't think it's bad if they have that again, especially with the other options out there

LOL @ Winston not being a guy worth tanking for.

Tell that to Tampa Bay. They made the right choice tanking for him. They're gonna enjoy having an elite QB for a decade+

Lol you keep believing that

Dude is a hot head gun slinger high risk int thrower with weight issues

He'll always be just a little bit above avg at best

I wanted Amari Cooper. If the Jets are eliminated I'm all for losing games for a higher pick. But going into a year and trying to lose is silly. 10 games and missing the playoffs is rare.

And the Revis trade was 1 million percent the right move. Getting a first round pick for a guy coming off an injury and not having to pay a huge cost to a non premium position is a no brainer. Bad teams trade high picks for corners getting max money. The key is not overpaying for non premium positions...which is why they'll probably let Mo leave if no one trades for him. The Jets don't have any young elite players.

And now Revis is playing Woody. Waits till March to have surgery so he doesn't have to go to mini camp and OTA's after a just ok season where he couldn't keep up with good wr's.

Revis just found out he had a torn ligament
