Miyoko in the video too and she badder than Jhene, Jhene like the 3rd finest outta four sisters lol...

........

I'm just getting around to listening to Chilombo, got roped in a debate two days ago by muhfukkas telling me Jhene the Sade of her era. Which seems high to me, but when you put in context to me that Sade was of the same era as Whitney, Mariah, Janet, Anita Baker, Lisa Fischer, Tina Turner, Miki Howard, Regina Belle, Cheryl Lynn, etc...

You can make the case for and against Sade as Top 5 of her time. And I feel like the same can be said of Jhene for her era...

Her albums aren't iconic, legendary, or on eternal playback status. At the same time, she's hella creative, can ride different production and beats vocally, is a wonderful storyteller/painter of images, etc. She has a place and deserves recognition for it...

I'm not thru Chilombo yet, does feel bloated but it isn't bad. This just dropped on the deluxe and I think she did Summertime justice on this, this joint is smooth:

She has no idea on how to make an album

this album is still weird to me, i enjoy it to vibe out to/have on in the background. but the only songs that standout/with individual replay are HOE, p*ssy fairy, pray for you, BS, and tryna smoke...

Trip is still her best solo project

What did you expect? She's not a solo album kinda artist. She should have been in a group her whole career.
