Griselda did bring that sound to the spotlight as of recently. Roc been around longer and might be the originator of that style though.

I always got huge MF DOOM vibes from Roc Marciano. Particularly his non-stop flow and it taking a few listens for you to fully hear what words he saying and a few more to understand the bars.

I was talking about the mainstream sense

I fukk with them but they didn’t change the sound like that. U could find old Jim and Roc from the early 2010’s that sounds like what they would rap about and rap over today.
