You’re seeing in real time the difference between a quality artist and a fast food artist.

These fast food artists gotta do all this shyt, dropping shytty albums every other month, go interview on every platform, and worrying about going viral.

It’s a shame Jim‘s got to do this shyt.

So how do you describe Nas?

We gonna act like Nas didn't spend a decade depending on controversial album titles every time he dropped music?

"I saw the shyt when I was fourteen, I counted on it
I was born a don with a powerful poignant style they wanted
Never dissing for clout, y'all know what this about
Nikkas tryna deflect from the fact people saw them fizzle out
The people saw them try to make hit songs that went wrong
This about the money, right? Cause all that shyt done been gone
Let's throw a nickel at the wishing well rappers
Watch it sink to the bottom, and I wish em all happiness
I'm in the cut, attention needers need to front, see em front
The world watching em shine, that's all they want
And I always get my cut, imagine that making you mad
I'm just a real version, they don't make em like that
Never had to get the youth to relate for the bag"

The only "controversial" titles was for albums that dropped between the end of 2006 and summer 2008. So like 18 months apart. Only one was actually controversial, and the label forced it to be changed.

But, sure. A decade. :mjlol:

And that chit that was a play on the old Marvin gaye title. They changed it after it already got people talking. That was like 2012.

It's the same thing as fishing for viral clicks.

And take it back to 04 with the clickbait songs on SD like "these are our heroes". He don't even stand his ground when the backlash comes. It's all for buzz. 😂 And that's 8 years. He prolly has more but I stopped paying attention to dude.

Def Jam forced the title change on "Untitled" before it came out in 2008. Again, one controversial album title that wasn't even controversial in the end.

Taking inspiration from Marvin Gaye on LIG was not controversial at any point. It's just taking inspiration from one of the GOATs, which was never controversial or difficult to understand.

You literally got no idea what you talking about :mjlol:
