It was very tepid but he was pushing merch from the shop and mattel numbers (Nostalgia always sells mind you) and that was the reason to keep him around on a legends contract

But I keep thinking these tapes have kinda fukked even that so its gonna be weird to see. I imagine if he comes back and his merch dont sell dont be surprised if they quietly drop him again
Nah..he wasn't top 20 in merchandise at all. So I'm not quite sure what they got of that last run.

But onsider the fact that now, alot of ppl will be interested in not only the crowd reaction, but what Hogan will say. Vince will make millions off that alone.
It definitely won't make milllions....he didn't do that when his nostalgia was hot post Rock match. The matches with Angle, Taker, and Cripple H didn't draw well. The Summerslam match with Blandy sold though but that was 2006.

He hasn't done a blip for ratings, sell outs, or merch. So I didn't even understand what that last return was about. It was silly with him coming out on that Smackdown in the Bryan segment with everyone cleaelybpaying to see Bryan...his merchandise everywhere, him getting the highest rated segments, and outpopping Hogan like it was nothing.

you don't get it. It's Hulk Hogan. Everything is not about a "pop". Obviously ppl care(in other revenue streams you can't see) otherwise Vince and co wouldn't bring him back.

I don't get it? You're just a kid. I was checkingHogan out before u ever heard of him...the days when people actually wanted to see Flair and Hogan and Austin vs Hogan. He doesn't mean that anymore. Just how it is..time has passed him by. If he can't sell a ppv or merchandise, then him coming back and getting paid doesn't make a lick of sense. It would be as dumb a decision as people claim Dixie makes all the time.

If Lesner can barely draw, what do u think 63 yr old Hogan is gonna do? The reaction and backlash to the WWE will be a funny sight though. They're asking for it.

I don't trust wrestling inc..no way he was #4 in 2014...lol

These were figures given by the retail and WWE sent to them, whats hard to believe about Hogan moving merch as recently as 2 years ago?
You always saw people rock his t-shirts in the crowd as well as Macho and Warrior.

City of Angels :blessed:
Crazy thing to me is cats who are just waiting for Hogan to come back so they can go off on their militant kick, as if that would somehow validate it.

Like, if you need THAT to make the case that Vince/WWE have racist tendencies (to put it mildly) then you are not paying attention, or you really just a dummy. There's plenty of evidence to make that case without Hulk ever returning that you're just burying your head in the sand about.

Whats so hard to believe about Hulkamania T-shirts selling in 2014 when Macho Man Tees and Austin tees and NWO tees still push in 2014-2016?

I mean you saw the TV back 2 years ago, you always had people rocking Hogan shirts as well as NWO Savage and Warrior tees

Which is also part of the problem. Most of the WWE merch that moves is the nostalgia retro shyt. Only reason they brought him back in 2014 to begin with

Its all the more reason why his dumbass getting caught is so stupid. Even though he wasnt getting 2002 nostalgia pops, his little legends deal gave him the best goodwill he had in years.
