I think it is kind of a Pandora's Box type thing, in the sense that if you bring it up in storyline and then DON'T have Kofi win, it proves that WWE is racist and racism is the right choice, which will get them tons of negative PR. In the same sense, it shines a light on WWE's entire history with black talent, which also opens them up to tons of negative PR. Nor can you trust WWE to ever run an angle like that with any tact or tastefullness whatsoever.

However, Big E posting a twitter video is not the same thing as them turning it into a racism angle on TV, in the same way that this kayfabe shattering shyt Becky/Ronda have been doing for months is online only and not "officially" part of the story. You can consider the social media only angles like you would tie in comics to the Marvel movies or the Injustice comic book series that actually lasted years apparently.
