Call of Duty isn’t the end of the world. Sony needs to pull their skirt down and get back to work on the next Sony AAA exclusive. All this whining is disgusting.

People still don't know what economics is. USD value is consistent, all other currencies fluctuate, thus prices go up.

$70 games was always about separating the budget of AAA games, but then again, 2K and Madden started this before...

It's about market share... Can't get any clearer than that. This is bad for business on their end and any other gaming company out there.

COD was the end of the world for literally dozens of shooter IPs lol.

I know most of yall dont play shooters, but just take a second and ask yourself where games like Medal of Honor and Brother's in Arms went, or why the biggest shooter IPs like Halo and BF spent so many resources trying to replicate COD mechanics into their games (both of those IPs are in the gutter too).

Even their next biggest competitor, Apex Legends, is literally a studio made up of ex COD developers lol. And even they have been struggling to compete (cant even get cross progression or 120hz working).

Buying the largest 3rd party publisher is an unprecedented move. There are no comparisons to be made here between the two.

Sony started a war of bank accounts with the wrong competitor and lost.

Sony goes out of their way to PAY for timed exclusivity deals and Sony Stans in here laugh about it and wiggle their fingers in xbots faces talking about “good luck when this game comes to GamePass in 3 years lolzzzzz”.

Microsoft raised Sony’s bet.
We’re splitting moral hairs here and the lines have been blurred for years now.

Multi console gang hasn’t taken a single loss.

Sony BUILDS exclusive content.

MS BUYS exclusive content (that has long history of being third-party)

Huge difference and I’m tried of folks acting like it’s comparable.

Sony buying and further developing small studios with a few games under their belt is simply not comparable to MS buying Bethesda and ActiBlizz.

Microsoft almost has half of the Western 3rd party developers. I can see why Sony would be mad because they can’t play ball at this type of level. But they can always continue to make great games and still sell like Nintendo. I think call of duty being exclusive to game pass would hurt the brand a lot and also the quality.
