Axis: Bold as Love >>> i mess with the whole texture of the album. Very 60s. Cover is trippy as fukk too. I fukks with "Little Miss Lover" so much you don't even know Tribe sampled it for Scenario.

I wonder how it feels like to listen to Hendrix on LSD

Never listened to Electric Ladyland front to back. Am I missing out brehs?

If you like a trippier album, then I recommend it from front to back.

setting music aside, Hendrix was a style king. Unapolegetically black swagger. Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding rocked afros just to roll with the "Jimi Hendrix Experience"

all the flashy moves he wowed white ppl with (playing with teeth) he picked up on the "chitlin circuit". While white ppl went most blacks were . Shyt was just like today.

& think of all the women he smashed. In his biography they say he'd have an entire squad of broads in his crib he'd have a 5some or whatever with them and they'd cook, clean and tend to his every need afterwards. & he had a GF on top of that.

Wish I lived through the 60s

But thru all that good shyt one thing about Jimi was for sure from everybody that knew him...He never went nowhere without his axe..that Fender Strat was his 1st lady till death do them part

Even Ritchie Blackmore said he was impressed by Hendrix....

And Blackmore is Classically trained,and plays with almost perfect precision.

This isn't even a genre I fukk with but I like Hendrix. I can only imagine what it was like to listen to all that corny ass music and this black dude comes out of nowhere with shyt that sounds like it's from another planet. People probably were tripped the fukk out....

Mitch Mitchell was an influential drummer for sure. From reading up about the band, it seems like Noel Redding was the weak link.

Jimi had to redo the bass on a few of the tracks in "Are You Experienced?" just to fit with his vision. Prior to joining the band, Noel never played bass, he was a guitar dude and over time he grew salty / jealous over Jimi and then he bounced.

"Are You Experienced?" is a tough album (manic depression is one of the standouts ) but when I think of "psycheledic" or "acid" rock, Axis stands out (once I listen to Electric Ladyland I will re-evaluate this).

to OP for celebrating a legend. I'm gonna listen to Jimi all day to celebrate.

Didn't used to fukk with it, but over time grew to appreciate it. Psych rock is gangsta. Only other late 60s band other than JHE that I listen to heavy is "The Doors" though. I like Jim Morisson. I should explore more music from that era.

Noel wasn't no weak link now..For him to not be a bass man he found a way to make shyt happen and was a real natural
