Eminem's new single, "Berzerk," has premiered to iTunes and radio today. After the radio adds have come in, it is no surprise that he continues to get paid dust by Urban stations:

As it is still premature to determine full radio life of the song, it's still a bit alarming that no Urban stations have chosen to add him to their playlists, even when an Urban station (Detroit, MI) world premiered his song last night.

Eminem isn't an urban artist and the label doesn't even bother servicing his records to urban radio...it'll get added to some after the song blows up and crossovers...just like Macklemore or BEP records do, they break on pop 40 radio then trickle down to urban stations with big "non urban" listener bases...and not the other way around, whereas rappers that are actual urban acts have to be huge hits on urban radio before they can get the adds from Pop formats and the larger audience they possess

None of Em's records outside of Stan(Lose yourself and that gimmick joint with Rihanna to lesser extents) got any real play on urban radio stations. It's the same way in the club and on the street. This is why I don't take anyone who considers him a top 5-10 emcee seriously. i can literally go months without hearing any Eminem record being played. I can't say that fr any of the other all time greats of this era.

Yup.. Far as I know, they stopped servicing his records to urban stations years ago.

em got play on urban radio the entire year in 2002.......

lose yourself/cleaning out my closet were both #1 on 106 and park for ages.....

without me along with other songs on the eminem show were on urban radio

and no im not a stan.....you have seen me criticize him multiple times on here so hold that too....

anyway he is trash nowadays but don't make up stories now
