Under the Interscope umbrella and with their push and money they put into his project he'd be able to get a much bigger look and better chance to sell more. He knew he couldn't do it under Jimmy Iovine because as he said, interscope became all about Beats By Dre. Now that that's over with and Jimmy is gone (who he had a terrible relationship with) he could've stayed and got his second chance to drop a big "industry stopping" album. He can't do that independently
