At this point it would have to be a doppleganger of jon stewart in terms of delivery, likeability, knowledge, debate skill and humor. Thats what it would have to be. These people will flip for a...person they LIKE, who cab inspire people. Only certain talents can do that.

But...I have this nagging thing in me that questions if trump even won that election lol being there there is legitmate objective and tangible descrepencies in the process and numbers. Even a court case surrounding it. But we kinda just accept America went this way....because that would change everything. And it scares me because they may just keep doing that.

I'm a bothsider but I think if dems lean into being the wholesome party not trying go tit for tat and focus on the economy, jobs and antiwar rhetoric and let republicans fck themselves over ya'll can win more seats for the mid-terms. I mean you don't have to fight bigotry with bigotry obviously but the you need a legitimate populist message to counter what is going on. Bernie was the dem's chance to do what needed to be done and they decided to sabotage him to keep the order and the money coming in.

Someone is going to have to pick up Bern's baton and run even further to the left with it. The last time such a candidate was able to get in office they had to create term limits to get him out because his policies were that popular.

One thing about progressives they will fight, protest, march, and unite for their political ideas. IF DEMs did want to get into a fire fight with republicans strengthening progressive voices in the DNC would be their best bet. I still think ya'll would lose to republicans. Their anti-woke campaign has been too successful so i don't think enough people will be receptive to DEI, LGBT, Women Rights, Student Loan Forgiveness, 4 day work week, affordable healthcare, Gaza and immigration reform. I do think affordable housing and fixing the economy would be progressives biggest draw with non-progressives.

The two most transformative presidents in the last 100 years (Regan and Trump) were celebrities before taking office.

Foxy liberals are so concerned with decorum that they refuse to 'go low' and get behind someone who isn't a career politician lest they not be taken serious. Nobody takes you serious as it is, CLEARLY.

John Stewart with a similar platform to Bernie Sanders could be an effective counter punch.
