Seeing fascism being implemented so fast in america is crazy. As I have said before, whoever is pulling the strings in the background are extremely effective in dismantling a democracy.

I don't have the link, but a reporter said to trump that protesters still have their 1st amendment right and trump said " I'm not so sure on that".

Also seeing alot of posters who were saying that project 2025 was just "fear mongering" and yet those same people are defending a state controlled media
I’m starting to believe that conspiracy theory that Trump is a Manchurian candidate planted by the Soviet Union is legit cause this level of orchestration is crazy :heh:. On some 50 years in the making, super villain type shyt cause how things are going, we are speed running to the final act of this America movie

Have y'all seen this?any truth to it?

The $6bn mega merger bubbling in the background of Kimmel controversy
published at 10:49

Michelle Fleury
New York business correspondent

The left may be describing this as an unprecedented attack on free speech but the pressure on businesses is something we've seen before.

Much like the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel's removal also involves a company in the middle of a merger that requires approval from the FCC. And the Trump administration has a track record of using pressure over businesses to get what it wants.

The country's largest local television company, Nexstar wants to do a $6.2 billion mega merger with rival, Tegna. The deal flaunts current anti-trust laws and requires the FCC to re-write ownership rules. So it needs to be on Trump's good side.

After the FCC chairman called for action from affiliate groups over Kimmel's comments, Nexstar took the Trump critic off air.

With 33 ABC affiliates in its portfolio (and 13 more potentially from its tie up with Tegna), ABC's parent company Disney had little option but to follow suit.

Again, purposely missing the point.

Rock got slapped for telling harmless jokes about a mans wife in front of that man and his wife… and mostly EVERYONE disagreed with it.

Smith lost fans because of it and really hasn’t recovered that much since then. Most men view him as a goofy for doing so over a woman who outright disrespects him.

This was back-handed to prove a point to Americans… just like the hanging of those young black men in mississippi is done to prove a point to us.
i agree with you except for this point here. he was indeed punished for it, but chris rock was the butt of the joke not will.

but this isnt the thread for this convo, so ill dead it here

Republicans not playing about their guys. I was telling folks to leave the Charlie situation alone. It's better not to say nothing.

Dems just have to sit back and shut up until the midterms and hopefully you get more seats to push back. All the goofy stuff ya'll been doing and saying is the reason why republicans have overwhelming control of shyt right now.

Not tone policing just telling ya'll cats to read the room. And I think it will be more blow back because of this Kirk situation.

Being the butt of a joke to some (mainly other comedians and wannabe funny nikkas) doesn’t mean people agreed with what Smith did.

Same in this situation. Kirk wasn’t even the butt of Kimmels joke (Trump was) and no one was celebrating it except people who enjoy extreme chaos.

I would say the people who knew what time CK was on showed more apathy for it happening more than anything… The “jokes” were more in consideration to how ironic it was with the way happened. Especially after he openly mocked incidents like the George Floyd murder.

I am more of a Will Smith fan than a Chris Rock fan and I didn’t even rock with what he did. 2 black celebs getting physical in front of the world was a terrible look. And people joked about the responses of both men, not as much about the act.

The situation is disheartening. It feels like the dems have no chance at all to bounce back.

The only glimmer of hope we have is either if Trump gets sick which won’t be happening (and even if it did even that wouldn’t be enough anymore) or if the Epstein files finally gets released and there’s absolutely irrefutable proof that Trump was in them, but that’s never getting released because.

That doesn't mean shyt, Republicans were going after people long before we even known who the shooter was.

Trump's retarded ass is just looking for any and every excuse in the book go after Dems. and anyone left leaning.

I kinda agree but at the sametime I don't think all the elite rich class fukk with Donald like that. It must be some that don't like him because he always in beef and Kamala raised a lot of money in a short time. I'm not democrat but I know this forum is made up of mostly democrats. That's my advice to them is to take all the shyt on the chin until midterms if they want more dems voted in. I think the whining, fearmongering, thought policing and name calling is why republicans running damn near everything right now. I think it's better for them to just go silent and just focus on maybe talking about COL and the economy. I think if they are able to get back in power than they can go back to LGBT, DEI, Renewable Energy, Police and Crime Reform, Welfare, Housing, etc the normal dem stuff.

The situation is disheartening. It feels like the dems have no chance at all to bounce back.

I'm a bothsider but I think the Dems can bounce back. You basically got to let republicans mess up on their own.

The moment is ripe for some unknown white male Democrat to pop on the scene like Mamdani did in NYC (but can't be Muslim fo sho)

The Dems are really one good meme away from changing the conversation.

They kinda hit on that with the "it's weird" thing they were doing during Kamala, but the DEMOCRAT ESTABLISHMENT put a kibosh on it.

The same way the Dems destroyed Howard Dean's internet apparatus after his weird yell.

One white dude that can be as sharp as Jasmine Crockett, AOC, but isn't gay or Jewish or toned down like Newsome/that one white guy from TX that keeps running...

But to do that would mean

1) Lotta folks would get pushed out of power (in congress, but more importantly behind the scenes - and that would include donors)

2) Dems would have to embrace a fast and loose relationship with integrity, truth, consistency, and intellectual honesty.

No more principle
No more "smart" policy debates

Strictly name calling and going low.

And even though they have no problem throwing Blacks and LGBTs under the bus for political gain, they feel some type of way when it comes to the nerd shyt.

I don’t have the same vitriol and hate that most of this site has for both-ers, but at this point, I refuse to see modern maga as republicans. They’re a cult. A hivemind. Made up of nothing but spite and entitlement and a nationwide grift (which is why I don’t think it’ll die even if Trump steps down and has Vance take over, as incompetent as Vance is)

And that’s also exactly why I don’t think there’s any messing up they could do. The only reason why I think the Epstein files might change things is because they pretty much have to arrest him and can’t get around that. But beyond that, their chip will just reset or something might happen that affirms their prejudices and they’ll just be louder abour that. It wasn’t that long ago that even the most vocal grifters were on his ass about that Chinese thing, and that didn’t last very long.

I don’t remember the politician’s name but I read something about this one guy who seemed decent enough, but as the comment clarified, he feels too conservative for the democratic base which is damning. But I think someone that could win over the young male voters and the fence sitters and regretful magatards might just win over Vance.

Also, and probably the most important, Elon and his band of alt right grifters need their platform taken away. Even with all the Nazis running amok, Twitter is still one of the most used social media apps in the world, and his cronies spamming out of context articles, old crime reports, and blatant lies to millions is not helping at all. They’re literally doxxing people as we speak.
