I really don't know why anyone fukks with this dude, he's been a hater since the 90s and a wack TV personality since forever.
Chuck is witty and funny, and also seems like he actually analyzes stuff, Kenny same with him, Shaq is just.. there cause he has a good old head shytting around dynamic with those guys. And of course, cause he's a legend and people love celebrities.

Ok? What does that have to do with NBA media figures not watching AND flaunting the fact that they don't care about the NBA Finals. You could have a Browns v Bucs SB and you'd never hear an NFL commentator say (on air) that they don't care. Because they'd be shytcanned. Whereas this type of disdain for the product is common from NBA media and it bleeds into the fans.
Imagine a nfl commentary saying they hope the rams make it to the superbowl over the lions so they could spend time in LA:dead:

They'd never disrespect baseball, football or hockey like that.

This dude Tom Brady, even if he was saying that OC's/QB-strategy was going backwards, when he's on TV he sounds like he's about to choke of how much he loves the game. Shannon Sharpe same with him, all of them

See my other post in here. If Silver is not taking it seriously why would the analysts. At the end of the day it all leads back to him

Oh I agree. He's weak and clearly does not value the brand beyond television deals. The opposite of Goodell. Zero chance Goodell would tolerate the highest rated NFL talk show on any network featuring someone like Shaq who doesn't watch games and does nothing but slander players. He would have used his leverage to get him out the paint long ago.

NBA really needs to clean house with the old heads. Let someone that likes basketball to commentate
Which demographic likes basketball, though? The younger folks only watch highlights and social media takes. The analysts only watch box scores and statistical trends. The modern fan claims the season is too long, should start after Christmas and only the playoffs matter. The old heads that try to watch as much as possible dislike the product as presented.

So which way to you go? You can't capture the young, and the elders dislike.

Shaq is there to maintain his own relevance, not to grow/ support the game or provide relevance. Just to remind you that he is Shaq.

Obvious but they need to get rid of anyone with this mentality.
They should've got rid of Shaq years ago. His whole persona is only suitable for kids who laugh at jackass shyt.

He hates players making a lotta money yet he makes money by downplaying all those players. I am glad guys like Javale McGee stood up and called him shaqtin a c00n live on air. That's who Shaq was.

Inside the NBA program always had a trash talk element, but Ernie, Chuck and Kenny would have no problem laughing at themselves, to show the audience that they are not completely bitter. Shaq was a wrong hire. He only laughs at himself if he knows other guy next to him is gonna get laughed at even more. His insecure persona is not suitable for TV shows that require him more than just reading some shyt one liners like it's a fukking Kazaam the movie.

How this mfer has managed to stay on the air so long is beyond me. Always hating, always with some wannabe controversial but nonsensical take, childish as shyt.

It became obvious pretty fast that he was a bad hire. They thought his popularity would bring a lot of viewership, maybe it did, but he ruined so many show's episodes. This dumb a$$hole can't hold a longer witty conversation to save his life. Nobody from the audience cares how many championships he won, but he kept running that bitter bullshyt in so many episodes.

Whatever network hires inside the NBA crew again, I hope shaq isn't hired by them.

Dude has so much experience in his life, you'd think him turning 50 he'd sound so much smarter, but noooo....still so obnoxious. I can see why Kobe got tired of him.

Shaq is that kind of guy who wants to control the room in conversation, but he's too stupid to make that happen, so he ruins the conversation with his bitterness.
