He's not a starting caliber center anymore, great to have if he's your first big off the bench, your big rotation sucks if he's your starter though.
How did he drop off so quickly ? He's not old
He's an energy hustle big, those fall off a cliff when they lose their athleticism. He can't finish around the rim anymore and he was never really that great at it to begin with.
Right now, he needs to be paired with a perimeter oriented big man, so I think the Horford or Towns stuff makes sense, especially since both guys are good passers. But, I wouldn't want him starting if I were trying to build a winner, for the Wolves he'd make sense cause it would allow them to draft Murray and getting to the playoffs is their goal.
I been to both places and Cleveland makes Minneapolis look like ManhattanNoah to Minnesota seems like a logical choice given who's coaching now but given his comments about playing in Cleveland, I'd have to think he doesn't feel much different about Minnesota![]()
Noah is still a starting caliber center... He offers way too much...other then shooting of course....
Nah, he can't finish at the rim, if you're a defensive big that can't score in the post you absolutely have to be able to finish at the rim at a high percentage. That's why someone like Tyson Chandler still plays, despite some slippage in his defense he's still going to finish 70% of his shots 0-3 feet from the hoop, Noah was at 44% 0-3 feet last season which is horrific for a big.
I feel you....but you can't run your offense thru Tyson Chandler....Noah at the high post can be vicious with his vision and in an offense of constant movement....that's where he makes up for his lack of scoring..
You can't run the offense through Noah anymore, especially now when he's paired with another big, he looked terrible with Pau because the spacing was all messed up. Also, what happens in the playoffs is that dudes just sink into the paint when he has the ball, running the O through him is a losing recipe in the playoffs.
My Noah love won't allow me to agree with you...but you're right... the only argument I have left is is just nostalgia disguised...
