Why don't these fools have an HR team that works nights or weekends or something

i guess i could see for manual labor (that has more round the clock work like UPS or some shyt) or maybe even retail, but what ~8-6 company do you expect to be doing interviews outside of business hours?

Threw my resume online just for kicks two weeks ago and my phone blows up every day between 10-12 saying they want an interview.

I basically have to take a sick day if I want to hear someone out.

This is a good point if you have one job and trying to get a better job if its 9 to 5, you have to either call out or take time off for that interview and you might not get that job lol

If you tryna switch jobs this how you do it. You save up your vacation time and start applying for jobs anytime you get a interview you say I have a family emergency or a doctor's appointment. When you get the job you just take two weeks off from your job but don't tell em you found a different job. If you like your new job you tell em dueces if you don't you just come back to your old job. A breh at my job left a month ago for a new job and he hates it he being calling hr every day tryna come back lol.

what also compounds the issue is that the interview never starts in the allotted time....

I have had interviews pushed back 30 mins-1hr sometimes.......but that also gives you the first insight into the company culture

I had a job ask for a video interview during work hours, Im like what happened to just doing Phone Interviews .

I had to do that video interview outside on my jobs office on my iphone, it was awkward AF

I did a facetime interview for my current job while I was in the middle of editing shyt for my old job. I told them hold on let me call you back after I finish. Called em back 10 mins later and did the interview. Told them I had to meet this deadline, they said "we understand can't miss your deadline talking to us" and laughed about it.
I don't know what kind of job you got but it can be pulled off. Just have to charm em. Remember companies are greedy and selfish
