Yup I really do. If the DNC & the media would just get behind a real progressive. I like to think of presidents as a reaction to the previous. Obama a reaction to Bush, Trump a reaction to Obama. This is assuming that progressives would be super motivated to vote. Young people have to vote.
trump would wash bernie in 2020 for the simple fact that he'll be running on raising everyone's taxes :yeshrug: and i was a bernie stan

Biden wouldn't stand a chance, rumor was he bailed out last time because his creepy groping killed his chances. No way he can put all that behind him in the #metoo era. He'd make the whole party look like hypocrites and neutralize just about any social criticism of Trump they tried to make.

Some if these are just painful to look at. I like Biden, but...nah: biden groping - Google Search (search images)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's as Nap has said countless times

Do ya'll want to win (ie. get Trump out of office and remove the GOP from the board) or do you want your candidate to be the nominee?

In some cases in can be both. But the majority of the people ya'll have been suggesting in these threads will get torn to shreds by the GOP and their flunkies.

DAVID SIROTA: Joe Biden has been working on bankruptcy legislation for the last three decades. He got into the Senate in the 1970s. He was on the Judiciary Committee. There began to be a push in the 1970s to reduce courts’ ability to lower student debt in bankruptcy court, starting in the 1970s. It started with government loans. There was a push in the 1970s to say that students would have to wait five years from graduating to be able to seek bankruptcy protections for their government loans. That was a bill that Joe Biden helped craft. He was on the conference committee. There was a series of other bills through the 1980s and into the 1990s in which Joe Biden worked on the same set of issues, lengthening the amount of time students would have to wait to be able to access bankruptcy protections for educational debt. And then, as you noted, into the late 1990s and the 2000s, there was this push by Biden—he was a key Democrat pushing the bankruptcy bill that was ultimately signed by President George W. Bush that eliminated the ability of most Americans to seek bankruptcy protections not only for their government loans, but also for their private student loans. So that was a big—a big objective of the private lenders. At the time, over his career, Joe Biden has raised about $2 million from the financial sector, while he’s been sculpting these bills. And again, he played the key role throughout the last three decades in the Democratic Party—really, in Congress—pushing these bills. Elizabeth Warren issued a paper, when she wasn’t in the Senate, when she was a professor, talking about how pivotal Joe Biden was in pushing these laws to, again, make it more difficult for students to reduce their student debt when they are in bankruptcy court. It really puts a prohibition on the judges themselves, saying you really can’t lower student debt, like you can most other forms of debt, when you are in bankruptcy court.

why did spitzer rhrow his career away

He didn't throw it away, I was a fan of dudes attitude towards wall St. but once he started coming at them he was exposed.

Called out Lloyd Blankfein for claims that "we are doing gods work" in reference to the banking industry he is a part of.

Spitzer messed up and got up with a hooker ok, but breh was really bout it bout it when it came to calling out the big money :shaq2:

really though, Spitzer would be a far better candidate than any of the names tossed around for 2020 so far.

A 76yo creepy establishment guy who is always putting his foot in his mouth and has finished dead last in every national election he's ever tried is the Democrats' best hope?
Well when you put it like that.

His poll numbers suggest he is one of Dems most favorable candidates right now.

It is what it is, but he's also too old.

Being Vice President raised his profile tremendously. And if you want to get technical, Trump also lost his 2000 presidential bid, Reagan lost his first presidential bid as well. :yeshrug:

Nah, Joe Biden would be almost 78 on Election Day 2020. That's way too old.

Also, he'd get hit a #MeToo allegation or get sh*t for how he handled the Anita Hill-Clarence Thomas hearings.
