Picking Susan Rice would make no sense because she definitely wouldn't win the primary in 2024 (if Biden retires). The only reason to pick her is if Biden wants to serve 2 terms. Biden might want a lackey/secretary to be his VP rather than a true Vice President. That's what all the "too ambitious" articles were about attacking Kamala.

It would be a stupid decision but it's up to Joe. None of us know what he's going to do.
