long time budden fan since 02. but not feeling this tape at all. dont like the production. buddens flow too, since mm4 it changed. it worked on mm4 but i dunno here. and the choruses..........not a fan. ab souls verse was fire, maybe i gotta check that kids album out.

either way, the styles P tape is way doper than expected so im good

his delivery has drastically changed i can co-sign that.....i don't know if it's been his own fans b!tchin' that he can't switch it up.....it's waaaay too many joints joey bodied with his old delivery. Maybe he wanted to just change it up on his own who knows, I just know it's lazy as fluck now, and i know that fast flow has got to go also, that's all slaughterhouse driven if you ask me.

he had one or two joints earlier in his career where he did it but now it's just pathetic...i blame every member in slaughterhouse being able to rap fast throughout their own individual careers, that made joe have to keep up because they always picked up tempo beats or beats where you HAD to tounge twist, and now he does it on damn near every song now smh whether with the group or on his own lol

"True" Joe Budden Fans don't like this mixtape.... Yall only like it when he's suicidal. This was a dope project...hands down...

Bruh you think people bash this mixtape on here, check jbtv......that's the reason i've stayed away from most opinions on budden solo projects....i hate to say it but most of em' are white boys that wouldn't know dope music if it 100 hand slapped em' in the face e.honda style....they critique EVERY little with him, sh!t is sad to a degree

I don't know, this doesn't seem that different from the typical Joe Budden project. I mean it ain't like he hasn't made "girl songs" before. :manny:

I gotta say that I like that he's workin with some other producers. J. Cardim & him did some dope shyt together but Cardiak & Araab (& some others) had some nice joints on this one. :yeshrug:

'Off 2 The Races' is too ill, played that 15x already....first verse, Tahiry/second Tahiry, third Esther?

There are missteps on this tape, definitely, but Budden has ALWAYS had his share of throwaway songs, plus a throwaway mixtape or two, and this is no exception. He still has it though, some of the experimination doesn't work, some of it does, I hope the album is more of 'Off 2 The Races', 'Momma Said', plus some slight mainstream appeal tracks. The lyrics are sharp and focused, but the beats, some of the flows I didn't care for, the fast flow, I agree with other posters about that. I like his content, on 'Momma Said', and similar tracks, it's emo, but, just life bullshyt, he's no longer the mess he was on his earlier work, but it's still cutting and poignant music.

Quality of Life, Why Would I, She Don't Love Me, are what I expect at this point. Why weren't these on the tape? Music is still nice, but he seems kind of contained. I want him to go off like when he is on his SLV steez.

I fukked with those songs, but lightly, I think the two I named are easily better then all of those. I think Budden should have thrown some of those SLV songs on there, record, or release a few more of those, 'What Yo Name Is', I wore, and still do, that track out. R&B/Rap done perfectly, imo. A handful of those, and maybe 5-7 quality tracks from this, and you have an ill tape. As it is, it's just a little uneven, too many 'just there' tracks, but I'm still fukking with it, I'm trying to not play out 'Off 2 The Races', you know, already played if like 10 times today.

This is a good tape. Between him going at it without a record deal for 10 years, substance abuse problem, and bad breakups, I feel like his productivity never suffered.

He is top notch with the emo stuff, but these past few years he is showing he can hang with the best of them when he is having fun with the music.
