What defines a classic anyway? Game’s popularity waning is the reason why a lot of his music isn’t deemed classic, because he has songs that are arguably better than anything on Documentary.

Nothing Game did would ever top The Documentary. It was all star lineup of super producers with some of the greatest tracks ever. The team effort of Game with bars and 50's hooks put it over the top. That's not mentioning the supporting cast of Faith Evans, Mary J. Blige, Busta Rhymes, etc.
It was mainly the Interscope marketing budget.
He's always had big producers and features, and he arguably got better as a rapper and artist ovet the years too.
