Think of everything that happened right at the point that all this blew up in their face, he destroyed the synergy of the label

Eminem went from the Eminem show to Encore
50 Cent went from The Massacre to Curtis and got outsold by Kanye, which would’ve never happened if Game played his role uplifting the whole movement and offering west coast co-sign while being a notable star in his own right. Both brands were meant to contribute to each other and produce synergy


Game set forth the events and diminishing returns leading to Jimmy Iovine graduating from the music industry, leaving Interscope behind to his children (essentially) and utilizing his Apple golden parachute money to entrench himself in the educational philanthropy industry

Game is responsible for the downfall of Interscope because he ain't want to diss Jadakiss and Fat Joe, and because 50 caught feelings over Documentary getting fast tracked and getting more attention from Dre than Massacre? :heh:

You really trying to blame Eminem getting burned out and hooked on pills and Encore being trash on Game? That's wild considering it dropped before all the drama even kicked off. Up In Smoke 2 still would have done insane business at any point from 2005 to this day long as you had Dre, Snoop and Eminem involved.

Put it like this. 50 sold like 15 million records between his first two albums and was so toxic he got dropped by Interscope before completing his deal. Meanwhile Game, goofy and reckless as he is, kept getting big budgets and big advances and completed his UMG deal.
