I forgot about that.

But the truth is, no matter the management, Budden is just bad at interviews. His interviews only hit when the guest basically takes the bullshyt, misinformed, and outright ignorant questions he asks and is still
able to make a point.

Look at his interview with Pablo Torre. Torre was able to flip the bullshyt into an entertaining interview because he basically took it over.
Oh yeah the interview is for sure going to suck. Especially Nas don't really seem like he with all that goofy shyt Joe be on. It's got me thinking who even is the best interviewers in hip-hop now.

I think the BEST are still Sway & Ebro.

Big Boy is cool too. He conducts entertaining interviews without coming off like a goof ball or that he’s trying to make fun at an artist’s expense.

Joe & Jada has grown on me. I couldn’t take Joe inserting himself into EVERY story an artist tells and them super lies he be on are grating but the last few episodes have been enjoyable.

Drink Champs might he the “chatty pattiest” of them all but they show Nas mad respect so they’d tone it down like they did the last time he was a guest in 2019.

Oil and water in terms of values and personality. Joe a chatty patty gossip ass dude. Nas is the exact opposite. I'm gonna assume Joe won't be asking dumb shyt given how big this exclusive is though.

Fox got you hot cuz you kept your face in her puss

And ya man stabbed Un and made you take the blame

Nas had his moment of putting legal circumstances out there that is solidified and very memorable. But overall I was speaking moreso outside of their personalities and focused more on their overall contribution to Hip Hop.

Maybe I'm reaching but since the Jim Jones thing it feels like Nas has taken a couple of shots at Jada/Joe for allowing it to happen. I can't see it happening but hope I'm wrong

Yall not keeping in mind that it’s Nas, lol. Buddens is a lyricist, he’s an admitted Jay-z guy but Nas had tons and tons and tons and decades and decades of influence on him, as a rapper… Forget “interviewing”, he is gonna be excited and like a kid (probably not noticeably, lol) getting to sit down and bust it up with Nas, if Nas isn’t super duper reserved and PC it will be an excellent conversation. Maybe Premier being with him will make Nas more comfortable and open, pause

Buddens is a terrible interviewer.

But nonetheless i’m in.

Shocked he’s doing this instead of Joe & Jada

Yeah Joe and Jada show Nas love all the time,.Buddens podcast still burning slow from that ether. I'll never forget them clowning Ultra black, then kings disease came out and they had to cop pleas.

Sway is elite level

Big Boy also.

I personally don't like Ebro's style but he's still better than basically all the rappers. Fat Joe is better as a guest. Drink Champs is only good in small doses.

Low key underrated interviewer is Bootleg Kev but he has bad moments sometimes. But I feel like he asks a lot of questions fans want to know.

He doesn't do it anymore but Crooked's Rakim interview and Eminem ( I know u don't fukk with Em, but they talked about bunch of old school shyt & just rapping) interviews were great because he asked a lot of things most ppl don't necessarily ask.

Also Elliott Wilson, even if he is "a professional journalist", is annoying as fukk

Budden is a good interviewer for someone with a louder more boisterous personality, even like DJ Premier who is pretty outgoing in interviews. That's his energy and he matches it well

Nas will check out in minutes if he doesn't like the energy and will just be passive aggressive or disinterested. Lots of smirks and one word answers. Like his Nardwuar interview after Nard brought out a JJ Evans doll for him LOL it was downhill after that

I see Premo doing most of the talking for this one but should be interesting to see how Joe approaches it
