saw a quote that said, "40 continues to progress. drake, you do not" and i thought about it and he's kind of right minus the IYRTITL album. drake has to hop on what's hot to stay relevant while occasionally dropping his own stuff to stay fresh in ppl's ear. it's been working for him because everything he puts out is a hit. just from IYRTITL and WATTBA he's had more hits than a lot of ppl's favorite artist.

I honestly don't think Drake cares...if he did he wouldn't use so many ref tracks

u right about that... to a lesser extent....40 beats be good quality....but they don't stand out to me, they are just kinda there in the background....maybe if he did produce for other artists, they would bring out a different style
