yeah, it definitely flew by. Although to be fair I also skipped the singles he dropped previously.
After 1 listen though, I like it. Gonna listen more to make it sink it, but this is another dope project from Joe
Okay, on one listen I'm not a big fan of Wrong One. My favorite joints on one spin are Idols, I Wanna Know, Uncle Joe, Forget, and Three.
Araab Muzik is sort of in the Statik Selektah category IMO. Makes dope stuff, but none of it really blows me away. Decent batch of production here, I just don't like Araab as much when he veers into the electronic/rave sound (like on Wrong One). I'm always a fan of beat switches so I like that Araab does that a couple times on this.
Joe does his thing lyrically. I like that it's not all depression and women issues on this one. On the flip side, it's sort of what Joe does best.
I think Idols and I Wanna Know are clearly the best songs on the album, and I think they land strongly. It sort of made me wish more of the album had that tone, since they're the final 2 songs.
A lot of it is good but not great. I'll give it another spin after work in the car. Gotta give it the whip test. I wanna give it a 3.5/5 right now. After Wrong One I was wanting to give it a 3 but the last 2 songs are great.
