The problem with more tracks is that you will pick your favorites and disregard more because you have the 'pick of the litter' phenomenon. This is why two CD albums never score well.
It's not that the songs are objectively bad, it's that you can pick your favorite 8 or 10 songs and the rest become filler relatively. But if you took those 8 or 10 songs and yeeted them before you ever heard them - you would find your 8 to 10 favorite songs among the so-called fillers.
It's the excess of choice with 20+ track albums that causes them to consistently be considered less quality than albums with less tracks.
BTW, the album is really good. Joe is a surface level thinker.
