We all know about the shytty moves that were signing Smith and Jennings, but if you take a closer look at the trade for Jennings it's even worse than we all thought. He traded Knight & Middleton for Jennings, they sorely lack 3 point shooting now, right?
Middleton as a starter
12.9ppg
4.9rpg
2.2apg
43% FG
42% from 3 on almost 4 attempts per game
Larry Drew has been fukking with his minutes a lot, during December he averaged 15 a game and shot 48% from 3. Even if you feel Jennings is better than Knight, he's definitely not better than Knight and Middleton as a unit, especially not when you consider how badly the Pistons need shooting and perimeter defense. Had they just kept Knight and Middleton they'd be competitive and playing through Monroe and Drummond with the spacing that Knight, KCP and Middleton would have given them.
It's amazing how badly Dumars fukked up in the summer, I really can't decide who has been worse between him and Grant.
