If you have to be 35 or older to run for president then you should be maxed out at 70 for any public service job. You can hang on as a retired private consultant and charge a consulting fee, but you can't be allowed to occupy a seat in the house, senate, or any federal courts. Old people have a lot of health risks. A fall on the floor will annoy or slightly hurt a 50 year old, its likely to severely injure a 70 or 80 year old.
