That brother demanded Excellence. Do you know what type of white supremacist Enclave Indiana is? You guys get on him too much for hitting those kids but the fact is white supremacy hits those kids 24 hours a day 7 days a week and he wanted to toughen those kids up. He did that rest in power brother

I believe it was Marlon, since he didn’t get the steps as fast as Michael.Respectfully...I've always thought Michael sounded like a cac p*ssy with those "abusive" comments, telling the white press what they wanted to hear. Don't get me wrong - I would argue that Joe definitely had some terrible child-rearing tactics, as many of our parents and grandparents did. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the Jackson boys didn't seem to be any more or less "abused" than any other average black boy being raised by a black father back in those days. Joe kept his foot in their asses, much like many black fathers. Add a terrible neighborhood and a single paycheck to raise up to nine kids at once, and I just can't fault the man. It seems that the children all made peace with him in their adult years, long before he died. So...*shrugs* (Now the psychological abuse, on the other hand, is something else entirely.)
All the older brothers have said, in subtle ways, that Michael didn't hardly catch no beatdowns. Even Michael himself said that Jackie had it the worst. Michael, on the other hand, was the 7th child. How many beatings could a tired-ass, overworked father have possibly given him at that point? All the other brothers pointed out that Michael was defiant and quick to run away from Joseph, so I'm hard-pressed to believe that a lil nikka who would throw a shoe at his dad would be "regurgitating" in his presence as a grown-ass man.

"Michael: Yes, Joseph never used to hug us! Mother did.
Glenda: What about that other child that he has?
Michael: (Silence). Joh Vonnie.
Glenda: Yeah.
Michael: Oh yeah he never had any problem, he never had any problem showing… He hugged her and stuff, I never could understand that.
Glenda: That is bizarre. That’s really bizarre.
Michael: Why is that, girl?
Glenda: I don’t know!
Michael: Jackie, I mean, Jackie got it the worst because he was the oldest boy [when really I think about it]. And…
Glenda: You mean “got it”, you mean like the beatings or-
Michael: Yeah. (inaudible)
Glenda: What?
Michael: I said, Jackie used to get it the worst."
But Tito insists Michael never got the worst of it, saying: “Are you guys kidding me? I don’t think Michael got it. Michael was so quick, my father couldn’t even catch him. My father would swing his belt and the next thing Michael is under the bed. He was really quick. My father tried to catch him so much he couldn’t do nothing to stop and start laughing. Myself, Jackie and Jermaine, we were the older guys and we were responsible for a lot. He lashed us more than anybody because we were in Gary, Indiana. There is nothing but gangs and no jobs, there are shootings on a daily basis. My father kept a grip on his older sons more than anything.”
You can’t determine what someone else experience is. He may not have got it the worst but he definitely got it. Not just physically but mentally and emotionally. Someone posted a video where Bruce Swedian said he and Quincy had to forcefully remove Joe from the studio because he was bothering MJ. They told him to leave and not come back. Bobby Taylor said he pulled a gun on Joseph at the studio to keep him away. Other Motown musicians said Joe was abusive to the kids in the studio.Respectfully...I've always thought Michael sounded like a cac p*ssy with those "abusive" comments, telling the white press what they wanted to hear.
