Clinton’s, bushes, Kennedy’s etc name are shyt on these streets.. it’s over for them
“If you smelled [marijuana] in a car, you could search a car,” Kennedy said. “When it became decriminalized, you couldn’t do that.”
Klein later argued the change was probably for the good, given the racial disparities that exist in the legal system’s treatment of marijuana, which Kennedy conceded was a good point. Another criminal justice concern Kennedy expressed was the lack of an admissible roadside test to determine whether a driver is operating under the influence of marijuana, which he said would be an increased threat with more widespread usage.
Dude's concern over legalization, from his mouth are, access to underaged kids and driving under the influence.
Regarding the quote from OP from the article:
Dude even supports the Mass legalization bill.
He's a square and an ex DA. There are better questions to ask if we're being honest.

and if it wasn't for alcohol we wouldn't know his name. This is a guilt-inspired answer, not his genuine belief.
He is not stupid and is aware of the racial disparities of how warrantless searches are enacted typically on POC under false pretenses of drug possession. No doubt he was aware before this interview yet despite that, this is still a concern for him. It's telling.
Also finally, the hand wringing related to access to kids and DUI is no different than alcohol when you really get down to it. In fact studies show dui while drunk is noticeably worse and our society has laws and programs to deter it .Fine you want to make sure legislation accounts for that but this isnt the first time I've seen a politician use it as a stalling tactic to not state where they stand. It's not a difficult problem to solve and we have models with other controlled substances to follow. Which is why its probably more of a false concern to stall coming down on the issue than a genuine concern.
