so what if he can't play, he still gets a free education :sas2:
Nope it looks like this season gotta come outta his pocket. They're talking about financial aid and shyt. Imo he should transfer, fukk it he has to sit the year out anyways.

I'm an OU fan, but I would leave if I was him also.
What the fukk is Joe supposed to do for a year, with his kinda talent.....

We are the same team that just gave DGB another shot, and my man got to sit it out?
Mixon shouldn't have to pay for OU's decision to pick up a really good WR, at the cost of it's so called "integrity"

Right or wrong, there is enough fukkery behind this, to where I support that man getting the fukk away from here.

leave and go where?

The difference with DGB is there is no visual evidence. With Mixon there's supposedly a tape. If that gets released, anywhere he goes he's gonna catch extreme criticism and be looked at terribly

Did the bish really hit him and call him a n1gger?

If so, she should have the same charge. He should leave that wasteland

The initial story that came out was, she called him a nigg*r, spat at him, and eventually punched him....then he retaliated. If that was the case, then I think many ppl were a little more indifferent to him hitting her....but apparently the police affadavit says HE instigated it by calling her friend a homosexual slur.

But if that's the case, I still dont see why it as only a misdemeanor b/c according to the affadavit her face sustained a ot of injuries.

This is D1 football and this was a long, EXPENSIVE procress to recruit Mixon.......if he says he's staying someone is gonna take care of him.

Well, till next semester or year, depending on how they re-up their scholarships. Schools may keep you on board if you have a career ending injury... but they will not keep you on a free ride if you can't play because you're beating on women. Bad optics.

College scholarships are only really 1 year leases. A lot of people don't realize that.

Those who are saying he should leave are not really thinking it through. What other team in the Power 5 conferences is going to take him? He would have to fly back OK for court dates now until this case has been settle plus he needs to find funding. OU is allowing him to still stay at the school and cover his scholarship. It's best he treat this year like a "redshirt" year and ride it out.

It's just a bad way to start your legal life. He was already unhappy in Norman to begin with and then his teammates leave him in an ill will situation such as that one at a bar on his bday. I hope he gets it together and learn from his mistake, but I also hope his family and teammates step it up to support him.

Adrian PEterson has been somewhat of a mentor to him, so maybe he'll talk him into staying.

But what if he transferred to Texas or some sh*t? He become the most hated player in cfb history. lol

the fact that they gave him a YEAR for it is why he should leave. most other top dog schools aren't suspending a guy a year. And as you said he already hates it there this is as good as reason as any for him to bounce

quote:
Norman Police showed the tape to about 40 members of the media Thursday morning at the Norman Investigations Center.

The clip was played five times for the group.

On the surveillance video taken from Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe at just after 2:30 a.m. on July 25, the alleged victim, Amelia Rae Molitor leans over a table talking to people on the other side of the table before making a motion like she’s calling someone over.

Soon, Mixon appears wearing a t-shirt with sunglasses propped on his forehead and a lanyard around his neck.

Neither Molitor nor Mixon appear threatened based on their body language and Mixon appears to start to walk away before Molitor pushes him. Mixon lunges at her with a closed fist by his side before Molitor slaps him near the top of his neck on his left side.

That’s when Mixon delivers a right hook that knocks Molitor first into the table on her left ear and then to the floor where she laid motionless for several moments.

Shortly thereafter she stands up but staggers a bit before sitting down on a chair as others call police and get napkins and ice for Molitor.

Molitor allegedly suffered fractures of her jaw, cheek bone, sinus and orbital bone.

Immediately after the punch, Mixon exited the frame of the video toward the front of the restaurant, which is located just north of OU’s campus. He never re-entered the shot and no other football players were seen in the video.
