I wish 2K would hop back on the scene. Madden's producer challenged 2K to make a football game at year's E3. Not sure what the hold up is or what the deal is with the license.
Watching this vid kinda pisses me off though. Crazy how you look back on these interviews after a game has released and listen to how much they hype shyt up.
Sad thing is, I fall for the trap every year.

MLB The show came out when EA was still doing there MLB games
Even if MS or Sony wanted to make an NFL title..
1) They don't wanna make EA mad
2) The NFL license is already rediculously expensive, so couple that with game development, and marketing, and Madden, the chances of recouping are slim to none

Microsoft had Inside drive, NFL Fever and Madden/2K still existed so what you saying is inaccurate

And the rules changed....in order to get Xbox Live Support, MS had to kill their sports games.
Already know 1st parties can make their own baseball games. The NFL license WAS a total exclusive to EA until a year or two ago, but EA themselves don't want to get into the details and spill the beans on the current agreement. They talk around it in circles, so it does appear someone else can make a game. It's not a question of whether MS has the money to spend, but if they want to sour their relationship with EA.

This game is coming out because one of the artists was hired to design an NFL stadium. The shyt is just under wraps because EA sneaky ass no telling what they would do if they found out that another NFL game is being made or football game in general for consoles.
