I think you underestimating what he actually said, he's basically giving a backhanded compliment and you dudes gotta stop this "intellectual babble" and call it for what it is, Joe is racist and he wouldn't talk that way around black people.

Joe Rogan isn’t racist, but he has tons of problematic and sometimes outright racist, sexist, and homophobic people on his show.

And he has a weak spot for lunatics, because one of his best friends is a conspiracy theorist nut. UFC is home to a lot of the worst white, male tendencies and opinions, so he’s at the epicenter of all that hate & ignorance.

In this case, Joe is just being protective of the UFC as it steps into the casual light, which is Stephen A’s wheelhouse. I know I get bothered when mainstream outlets casually cover Hip Hop in ways that don’t reflect what the actual Hip Hop community thinks (Cardi winning a Grammy over Nipsey, almost any AOTY Eminem Grammy, etc), so I get the backlash.

I'm with Arbitrage on that one. He's had 1000+ episodes and outside of rappers and comedians (and maybe fighters?) I only saw two black thinkers he ever had, Cornell West and Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Tyson doesn't talk about Black issues other than science representation.

He's definitely deeply embedded in White culture and outside of his friendship with West I don't think he gets Black issues at anything beyond a superficial level.
