You did mention that some people “need” social media to communicate and I countered that no one “needs” social media to communicate because there are alternative methods to communicate such as phone, text, video chat and face to face conversation. What does the government monitoring those private communications have to do with information that you are trying to get to the general public on social media (where you have no expectation of privacy)?

People want to yell about censorship and not being able to say shyt but we as intelligent human being should be able to recognize views that go beyond "that's my opinion" to hate speech or disinformation. Bringing on a Nazi to tell you what he thinks about blacks and Jews is not being open minded. It's providing a social platform to hate speech. You'd think, given all the scientists that he interviews on a damn near monthly basis, he'd be able to differentiate bullshyt from reality.
