Boy you are an idiot, the number 9 contract came from someone in Joe Smith's era. Boy I said that yeah they get paid more today but these aren't the old heads that would be mad because they (Joe Smith's era) got paid too. Isiah Thomas got paid 15 million over his career, compare that to Joe Smith getting 60 million, that is where old heads would be mad, an all time top 5 PG getting paid a fraction of a fringe player in Joe Smith. Russell Westbrook would get significantly more money than Joe Smith if he was in his (Joe Smith's) era too, how dense do you have to be to understand that.

Dude is making all the right moves and NO ONE will turn their back on him as long as he’s with JLo

A-Rod should be sitting when it comes to money. he signed a 10 year $252 million contract in 2001 and he plus he had endorsements. He is one of the rotating investors on Shark Tank and he is an ESPN baseball analyst. I heard whenever he goes to a restaurant, he brings his personal chef with him to prepare his food.

I wouldn't use ZBo as an example. During the lock out it was found out that he was one of the most prepared players to actually be able to wait out for years.

The media loves to play up on these black athletes being bad with money. Cause they rarely talk about the ones that are good with their money. Anyway during the lock out some slick joker asked ZBO how he was fairing and dude was like...:yeshrug: aint shyt changed. I been saving up for years for the very day.
the point was ZBo trying it with his first check.

ZBo learned a lot and prepped himself for that moment. The point is some people develop and grow, while some end up falling off.

Honestly, save a lump sum, puchase properties if you don't have the will to go into business, pay your taxes.

You can do all that and still spend frivously on yourself and entourage and be fine.

A lot of these cats have zero understanding of how their finances work. Who was it that tried to cash his first NBA check at a check cashing spot? I think it was Z-Bo.

Broke should be required viewing at all pro sports rookie orientations.
i thought that was bart scott (NFL); from that 30 for 30: Broke.

That's not gonna happen. They won't do that for the same reason they don't don't tell you how they started Meijer, Walmart, McDonald's, or any of the other huge companies: they want employees, not potential competition.
