where any teams even interested in trading for cousins

I think they were but Cousins ruined his own stock by looking like shyt in the last 3 regular season games. Anyone who is foolish enough to trade for him because of some preseason games is setting themselves up for failure.

I wish we could up the RG3 vs. Luck thread, man. I said from the jump that after watching a bunch of tape on RG3, I wasn't sold on his ability to stay in the pocket and beat you as a passer. Dudes were pointing out his high completion pct and td/int ratio, without watching his tape. He threw bubble screens to Kendall Wright all day, or went deep off play action and his receiver was usually open.

The game was simplified for him tremendously at Baylor, and even his first year in the league. But if you give NFL D-coordinators a year of tape to study and prepare for you, best believe they're gonna focus the game plan on your weaknesses and make you beat them that way. RG3 hasn't shown the ability to do so yet, and he's too fragile to play the reckless style that he excels at.

I hear you on some points but as far as Griffin vs Luck. I have it 1-1 as far as seasons go.
2012 Griffin > Wilson > Luck
2013 Wilson > Luck > Griffin

I have Wilson as the best QB of that draft.

We need to dead this QB competition talk. They set Cousins up last year to win the job and he couldn't do it. He looked like trash against 3 of the weakest defenses in the league and didn't do anything impressive.

The Redskins have been scapegoating QBs for 20 years and have the losses to prove it. The job is RG3's. Get him some pass protection and consistency in the system and let him get healthy. Then we can evaluate him properly.

RG3 wasn't even healthy for half the season last year (even if he was playing, it was clear he was hobbled).

A healthy RG3 is outside of Kirk Cousins' stratosphere. Cousins isn't even good. Career backup talent.

I'm all for saying Bob hasn't looked too good this preseason, but is Joe really gonna sit up here and act like Cousins ain't playing against the backups? Bob would look comfy too if he's playing against a defense of cats destined for special teams and the practice squad.

From a few weeks back. Interesting thoughts, considering what has transpired since.

One of my biggest takeaways from Patriots-Redskins joint practices was surprise that Robert Griffin III didn’t look like the best quarterback on his own team. In fact, I thought Kirk Cousins was better than him, from the perspective of running the offense, fine-tuned mechanics and how decisively the ball came out of his hand. I wondered if I was alone, and then heard the same sentiment echoed by some others in the Patriots organization.

It's amazing how they completely overlook his play last season

New Coach New System ... Only fair both get a clean start.

Living here RG3 is Teflon with the fanbase, He'd have to be Sanchez levels of bad for them to turn on him

Gruden got Dalton a 115M show mr contract.

Honestly I'm not gonna judge RG3 till after the 15-16 season.
Nah .. in this age where the game is tailored to offense and especially the QB, he needs to produce this season

I think hes going to have a great year(just needs to stay healthy) I guess count me in the minority :ld:
