I don't really check for Budden but wasn't he the underground savior or some shyt? That tracklist looks super commercial haha. Budden was always a good rapper though, I haven't listened to him since MM3.

:mindblown: how is Loose Quarter a better commercial album if it can't in any way expand his fan base.

There is not one song in there that can be consumed nationally.

This album just brings to light what's been known since the mood musik run. Joey can not make hit records.
Theres more to music/artistry than making hit records

I feel the same exact way. I couldn't get into a loose quarter at all and this album is just horrible. Even the songs that seem to be catered to the mood muzik fans aren't good. The worst part is the blatant selling out attempt, it's like he's trying to be Drake. I have no problem with an artist trying to make a hit but be yourself don't bite someone else's style. I've lost respect for Joe and he's been one of my favorite artist the last several years. I guess my Budden collection stops at Mood Muzik 4

Exactly. I been a fan since the mixtape era 01-02. Y do wat everybody else is doing forreal. SH as a whole has way more potential than more than half of the mainstream nikkas with a buzz. All they need is good production and fukk sales. We all aint buyin shyt lmao. And ur right mm4 was his last real good album from him. I dont know y he goin the drake route with that Slv group.

I agree 100%. SH was never going to sell so instead of making a pop album they should of used the budget to get production and features their fan base actually wants to hear. I was expecting Just Blaze, NO I.D, Alchemist, maybe Black Milk but instead they make garbage pop songs with cee lo and skylar gray

I think it was @Walt who did a real good breakdown on the absurdity of SH

These dudes were cobbled together on some Mr Potatohead shyt and touted as the dudes who would bring back "straight spitting"

First disc was spittin heavy but had zero chemistry/replay value. Flopped

Then they went back to the drawing board and threw away everything they claimed to be about when they came in the game together. Went bubblegum. Flopped again :damn:

These dudes want the fame and pop success like everyone else. Which is OK I guess. But they tried to do it through gimmicks and creative dishonesty. Which was not OK. Now they have pretty much faded to Bolivia, except for Joey, who is so addicted to fame he is willing to subjugate himself on a reality show. The whole thing is kind of sad.

I didn't even listen to the album, but I know it sucks. I caught a stream of NBA and instantly laughter ensued. We've seen this movie already and know how it ends. Question is why is joey dating mainstream again when he knows that gold diggin high maintenance trife bytch is going to fukk him over in the end.

Name it?

No doubt, but Joey has a record label and they have budgets to meet.

As a true Budden fan, this album is his worst release, but I hope he can have some hit records and garner some type of commercial success becaus dude has given rap fans his all for a long time

U got it, I got better things to do wit my time right now. I'll get back to this later. Joe Buddens arguments not worth my time at the moment :lolbron:

There are artists whose music is way more regional than Joey's who move enough units to satisfy majors/make a living on a consistent basis. Biggest example I can think of now is Nas.

Plus you know Joey's production game. He does not need a big budget to make records :lolbron:

Biggest problem with this disc you dont expand your fan base by copying what other people are doing. Drake + Ross blew up because they brought a new musical sound + raised the sonic quality of rap records. Their shyt was kind of new. Joey is trying to piggyback on that instead of either moving it forward. I mean the lead single on this sounds like a poor man's "Im On One". His flow even sounds like Aubrey's :pumperwhat: Dude fukked up with this disc bad time. These aint the days when Jay could jump on a Juvenile track and quadruple his sales down south... fans are pretty terrible these days but they dont go for gimmicks
