I actually just saw Joel at the Gucci store a week or so back the mall in an affluent suburb of Philly. Him and his friend were just shopping and minding their own business and many people (mostly whites and Asians) are outside of the glass wall of the store snapping pictures and pointing and staring like they were at a zoo. OK, maybe that's the price of fame. However about an hour or so later I see Joel and his friend walking through the mall with a gaggle of people following a few feet behind them. One of the younger Asian women even has the gall to tap him on the arm to try and get his attention and he completely ignores her (justifiably so).
I can't imagine what it's like to be these stars. Many of them curved much of their lives and now suddenly everyone loves them "and not because you're a star". I'm sure it's hard to trust motherfukkers and it probably makes you want to rub it in the face of the people who played you before.
