Very sad when it happens to people that are that good.

I wonder when certain sports fans started being so cold and laughed at players whose careers were ruined by injuries.
Is it around the same time rappers started making songs dissing their dead opps? :jbhmm:
I always wonder why people look at it like this.

Joel career wasn't ruined by injuries, modern healthcare allowed him to have a career.

If Embiid came into the league in the 80' and 90's with back and foot issues he wouldn't have lasted past his rookie year.

Modern healthcare allowed this dude to play enough to be 400 plus million up. It's a miracle he's even had a career at all.

I feel like DRose was where I first noticed this personally. Dude never deserved to be a punchline for what he went through

What???

I feel like D Rose was the first person no one laughed at for being injury prone. I remember Sam Bowie and Joe Theismann being punchlines, never D Rose.

last report I read on him was that he's still in pain daily... but he can play through it.

We talkin coli when we say sports fans, or nah?

Because the coli definitely was clowning Derrick for being injury prone...

i mean, literally there's this :deadrose:

When he refused to return for the 2013 playoffs due to "muscle memory" problems, sports media definitely didn't take well to that. As the years went by (and he was no longer a stan-war threat) ppl eased off.

Same thing happened, is happening with Kawhi. Him, Rose, AD, and Embiid been punchlines.

I remember D Rose getting clowned cause he made that commit about he would "die on the court" but then when he was cleared by doctors to play he wouldn't saying he wasn't confident he could play like he used to on the knee citing shyt like "muscle memory".
