Hinkie was forced to take Okafor by the higher ups. They didn't want us to take another long term project loaded with uncertainty because we have to remember that Porzingis was supposed to be years away from being ready with high bust potential, but super high upside. This sounds like the perfect description of a Hinkie pick. Okafor was supposed to be the surefire guy ready to come in day 1.

Analytically Okafor was a bad player in college though and Porzingis was actually an analytics machine. If Hinkie had his way he probably would've picked the guy.

We also have to remember that Porzingis refused to workout for us and meet with us enjoy dysfunctional ass New York we're building a dynasty
