You know, I'm looking forward to the album. I think what happens is, when it feels like the artist has other major things going on and doesn't show their heart is fully committed to rap, the excitement from the fanbase tends to mimic this.
DMX and Pac never seemed like rap was put on the back burner. Pac just died young and DMX had addiction issues.
Admittedly I had kinda quit checking for him, but then I stumbled across No Explanation
