Did he pretty much drop the 90s rap gimmick?
The thing that I like is that he's carved out his own identity and isn't trying to be the "real hip-hop" guy anymore. The music's still distinctly boom bap and New York but it feels like his own stuff, rather than a naval-gazing retread of 90s songs. I enjoyed B4.da.$$ but even the best songs had the "I've heard this before" feel. That's not here on this album.Project is dope, sone songs I'm liking more than others but it's a solid effort. Also The message on the majority of the tracks are also dope. it's a breath of fresh air from the stuff we been hearing as of lately.

I think Statik's problem is he stretches himself too thin. He does so many damn projects that he lets a ton of B and C-level beats that wouldn't make it past the cutting room floor get out.Super Predator
