I know this is his pro-black, "conscious" album but I find a lot of it to be really shallow. there's no real insight like say a dead prez or immortal technique. everything is surface level. and I'm not trying to say that he has to be really profound or anything, but positive messaging doesn't garner somebody a free pass no matter how much some people may want it to.

It was aaiight... I like that all of the songs stayed within the theme of the album title & had that east coast hip hop/jazzy feel to it. The songs were good, but did not reach the point where I thought they were great. I give it a 6.9/10

Definitely worth a spin breh, sitting at a 7-8/10 for me at the moment with some definite highlights. Starts off hella strong plus the features are all A1.

Get rid of Devastated, Y u dont..., Legendary( J cole ) and the last track

And this would be a 8/10 for me

But its a 7/10 -7.5/10 for me
