Why we laughing and celebrating this? A dope rapper who made music in line with the type of shyt the Coli likes....why the jokes.

I hope this is due to some unforeseen opportunity that came his way (in acting) and not due to demand being low. He has a pretty noteworthy fanbase, or did at one point. And it's not like this was an arena tour or anything.

I don’t think it should be celebrated, at all.

But you know we have a bunch of weirdos and bums who sit on couches and hate on these rappers. They don’t understand, if these dope MC's can't sell tickets, that trickles down to other MC's not being able to. We need to see more pure MC's being successful because that helps for everyone else down the line.

I think he canceled because he's due back on set to film. But we see a lot of these fake fans getting way too happy when rappers seem like they're not winning. It's corny.

It must have been abrupt because you'd expect him to clear his schedule for months to make a tour work.

I gotta say...there has always been some level of sales/numbers shyt on this forum, going back to the SOHH days. But the bullshyt aftermath of the Drake/Kendrick battle has really elevated the sales talk. It's embarrassing as fukk.

His failure to blow up gotta be studied

:dahell:

He was never meant to blow up as that's not the type of music he makes. Joey was always above the underground but not close to mainstream. Not sure why he's recently tried to play it like he was bigger than that but he had a very successful music career. Maybe he could've expanded his lane but he's been focused on acting so taking 5 year breaks between albums wasn't going to help.

I'm sure he could still do a tour because it's not like he's playing large venues. Probably not a ticket sales issue.

What’s up with society and trying to prove something is quality by the amount of $ it makes?

Joey canceled the show so that means he was always trash and that’s why you never listened to him?

Some of my favorite albums, movies, books, and other forms of entertainment aren’t at the top of all time sales

shyt some of the best music I’ve ever heard nobody knows… and it never went mainstream

This shyt screams you guys need validation to justify what you like

Damn, I actually copped a ticket to the BK show a few weeks ago(they were super cheap, like $45).

Guess I'll be on the lookout for the refund.

I really feel bad for Soul though. Breh, has been trying to promote his album for the longest and get on tour, only for something like this to keep happening.

Ain't no one celebrating this. But it's a reflection on how terrible his rap career has been compared to the hype he had when he came in.

Also, you spend half your time on here playing armchair A&R nitpicking every move labels like TDE and Griselda make, so cut the sanctimonious shyt :camby:
