Tbh it's 2016...who still believes rappers are rappers.

They're all basically max b clones. Melodic rappers. They can rap but are not MCs
There's a large range of rappers in 2016.
The 3 biggest sellers are Drake, Kendrick and J .Cole are you telling me that they can't rap?
Some can do both, some can only do one thing and on. Are Meek, YG, Rocky, Schoolboy, Big Sean, Gambino, Fab, Mac Miller, Action Bronson, Wale, Joey Badass, Earl, Lecrae, Chance and these dudes not emcees? Most of them actually moved units too.

Even hipsters like Asap Rocky can drop iller freestyles off the top than most of our favorites from the 90s.

It's interesting that people want to generalize the game to a few cats that aren't even moving any units or getting any big names on festival posters. Of those type of rappers only Future and Fetty Wap actually moved units.

There's a large range of artists, stop acting like Young Thug and Rich Homie are the only rappers in the game and that they represent everyone.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Its got to be staged at this point for controversy

How many times have new era rappers fukked up classic verses?

Started with Lupe in like 06 and seems to happen over and over....Aren't they aware that the performer is ignorant to the tribute??? :dead:
Lupe shyt was blown outta proportion tho. Until his dumb ass opened his mouth to defend himself and dug himself a deeper hole.

Its just mind-boggling how embarrassingly poorly handled the show is

They stay putting people in tributes that don't know the source material. Do they vet the performers at all? Do they rehearse at all? Why does this keep happening at the VH1 Honors??!!

Nobody says the term hipster except out of touch people.
Hipsters do not use the term because they want to be hipsters but don't want to be labelled as such.

I don't say it in public except when I'm fukking with my hipster friends, but it's a certain type of crowd call them what you want to. Artsy, geeks, alternative, indiekids, cool kids, Williamsburg cats in NY, Shoreditch cats in UK, 10th Arrondissement cats in Paris or whatever you want.
Everyone knows the type of people being discussed when the hipster term is used, so let's keep it simple.
