hahaha...

Jay Z will absorb his style, and leave him broken and strewn...

No one succeeds with Jay Z...Unless they already have their own fire burning...

Lol. I love Jay as a rapper, but as a record exec, I don't get why artist want to sign with him so bad. And please don't credit Kanye and Rihanna's success because of his handling and vision.

It's almost like Jordan acting as a GM of a team *see what I did there*

j elec aint on cause of his own damn fault. j cole is on because of his own damn fault. just cause you sign with jayz doesnt mean he will hold your hand. if you do what you supposed to and get hot then you give him a reason to open your budget.

Seems like you forget Cole having one of the best first weeks in hip hop since his album dropped and getting a gold plaque.

I hope this happens tho to see how many nikkas suddenly hate Joey. Popcorn will be ready. :steviej:

:what:

Cole had a following before he was with roc nation. His success (imo) has very little to do with roc nation. If anything they hurt him cuz he had to push his album back so much time cuz of hov's lazy ass.

Yeah cats heard of dude prior to his signing to Roc Nation, me being one of them, but most people heard of him for the first time when he was announced as the first person to sign to Jay's label. Matter fact, The Warmup dropped after he was already signed to Jay. The Warmup is what started getting the internet talking about him, not The Comeup. Right after that Lights Please started getting moderate radio play in NY. Then Jay put him on BP3. Then he had Cole on tour around the country at different colleges as well as on the Blueprint 3 tour. That touring is what got Cole the strong fanbase he has. He had a ton of college kids behind him. Those college kids had no idea who he was prior to him signing to Roc Nation, except for kids at St. John's.

As far as push backs, Who Dat was dope, but that wasn't pushing the album to where it ended up going numbers wise. Can't Get Enough and Work Out were hits and got him those numbers.
