nikkas back in high school use to taper their pants at the bottom. Or put elastic at the bottom for that reason

Depending where you live winter wear could vary. If your looking at something that holds up in rain in snow I'm a fan of the Levi's chino jogger. You're getting the normal Levi's quality just in jogger form.
