John Calipari interested in Pelicans job

I don't see why he can't succeed. There are many coaches currently in the league who look lost. Plus depending on the Pelicans owner they could give Cal the best staff money can buy.

He might be trying for a deal similar to Pete Carroll's with the Seahawks.

I think he stays at UK but I wouldn't be surprised if he took the job. I remember Pete Carroll saying the same stuff before he left USC for the Seahawks.

At Memphis, it was Derrick Rose who cheated. What exactly did Calipari do bad at Memphis?

The only thing you can say is he bounced for a better opportunity. He may have known sanctions were coming, but they were not his doing.

He knew what was going down. You mean to tell me that he didn't know that Derrick Rose could't pass his SATs? He knew while recruiting John Wall, Cousins, the twins, Henry etc that he was leaving. He used the schools resources and money to recruit these dudes that went with him or to other schools. Its not lazy, its facts. Dude gave no fukks. Put a * by the schools win streak and caused the two seniors that had the most wins in Conference USA history to loose all their wins. You go in the Forum now that there's no banners, no acknowledgement of any of the that season that Memphis went to the Finals. Dude can't even show his face here

Your Rose thing is stupid. Rose cheated on his SATs, thats not Calipari's fault.

I agree that he was shady with regards to the recruitment. Get on him for that. (altho he not the only coach that has done that)

I just dont like when people say he brought about sanctions.
