It is a thin line between paying homage to someone and biting and it's damn near nonexistent when it comes to a white person especially a famous one. It doesn't really matter if y'all are both famous at the same time your fans maybe completely unaware of the black person who you're paying homage to career so it's better to not let your fandom not forget where you got it from if you're bigging up your brother.

You right, I hated the character. Seem like they just wanted to make the Rock white

Cena, his whole style was culture vulture blackface shyt

Not That It Would Probably Make You Feel Any Better But The Whole Character Started When He Dressed As Vanilla Ice For A Halloween Party, People Found It Funny So They Stuck Him With The “Wanna Be Down Whiteboy” Gimmick, shyt Just Happened To Take Off With The Fans, It Was Originally Supposed To Be Making Fun Of People Who Are Really Like That

But it’s not Yayo’s, it’s actually Flava Flav’s. Yayo sharked it.
Flav did it to himself. Fukked up his legacy by being a c00nin’ buffoon on vh1. When people hear the name Flavor Flav now, they immediately think of that oldface c00n wearing a viking hat and a giant clock around his neck on reality tv :manny:

Cena was always dog water trash that Vince pushed to the moon after all the good talent bounced.

He tried to do it again with Roman Reigns, but it backfired, so they made it him a heel and took off the leash and let him prosper that way.

Can't wait till Vince is dead.

only person I heard talk about the greatness of G-Unit in the 2020s is @HarlemHottie :dwillhuh:

Other than that, I don't know any folks that are still G-Unit fans :dwillhuh:

G-Unit was the reverse of DMX and Ruff Ryders.

98, X and Ruff Ryder revived the east coast. Gave rappers new life and new motivation. Like a rise of a new day :banderas:

G Unit were just corporate rappers because Eminem, Dr. Dre, and XXL magazine said so in 2003 with their co sign. Any Hip Hop Historian will tell you that they symbolized the sundowning of the East Coast reign with gimmicks, beefs, and one sided views. A lot of people got tired of them and went down south with Lil Jon, T.I., and so on. They, and Dipset, were the very last of the East Coast reigns before Strip Club Culture and janky feminine dances took over mainstream. It was only a short period of time before someone like Kanye West and Lil Wayne took over the mainstream.

Did I say anything wrong? Where is the lie? DMX's legacy is something that G Unit can never have. X made mad people eat, while G Unit beefed with everyone and taking food AWAY from talented black people's plate.
