G-Unit was the reverse of DMX and Ruff Ryders.

98, X and Ruff Ryder revived the east coast. Gave rappers new life and new motivation. Like a rise of a new day :banderas:

G Unit were just corporate rappers because Eminem, Dr. Dre, and XXL magazine said so in 2003 with their co sign. Any Hip Hop Historian will tell you that they symbolized the sundowning of the East Coast reign with gimmicks, beefs, and one sided views. A lot of people got tired of them and went down south with Lil Jon, T.I., and so on. They, and Dipset, were the very last of the East Coast reigns before Strip Club Culture and janky feminine dances took over mainstream. It was only a short period of time before someone like Kanye West and Lil Wayne took over the mainstream.

This is a complete rewrite of history. G unit fell off but when they were on they were on. Everyone’s debut was a classic.

Ryff Ryders had a better run.

His title belt even was spinning like the g unit chain
G unit was popular wen Cena did the rap gimmick
