Austin regrets the heel turn because they would not boo him.

Austin refused to face Hogan.

Austin's last match was against the Rock the night before Goldberg debuted in the company.

Austin did not want what happened at 18 where the Rock was booed most of the match to happen to him

nobody was going to outpop a returning Hulk Hogan to the WWF especially since before that the last time he was in the company was summer of 93

Austin is awesome as fukk as a person and human being but even he admits his flaws and he can get emotional like when he never picked up Bischoff's calls and got fired from WCW( which ended up for the better) taking his ball and going home more than once and beating Debra (drink beer ...raise hell :dj2:) But Austin basically gave Rock that legendary moment at 18 while he had a forgettable match with Hall because he didn't want to job and be booed

Austin couldn't face Goldberg at that time because his injuries had gotten to the point where he couldn't wrestle anymore

Austin getting booed in Toronto? I'm not so sure. He was over in Toronto but the crowd did boo when Nash got sent to the back. They were smart though and didn't get on Austin's case. Hogan had a benefit of being in Toronto against Rocky after Rock had been on top for that long and he got to make a comeback against the top star of the era. Fans went against the grain but it did nothing to hurt the Rock. His Scorpion King release still was the biggest release in April history at the time. He and Austin were still the highest rated portions of the show..merchandise was through the roof, etc. It was Hogan facing Rock that put Hogan back on the map...would that have happened with an Austin match? Who knows.

Where many murders occur
You got that post from the Wrestlezone forums. That place is full of cena stanning nerdy cacs. cena's day is done, Bryan Danielson is here, and so is Roman. cena was pushed hard, but he's nothing at the end of the day. He doesn't sniff Mt Rushmore

Mt R = Bruno, Hogan, Flair and Austin
